Daralla Olifanjes ha Bestes Erel 1

This is the first draft of a new story I am writing for children and Cornish language learners.  There is a parallel English version, which I am not posting here. I have purposely chosen to write a continuous narrative in the present tense. The narrator is a ten-year old schoolgirl. 1. Ma’n Daralla ow Tallath        “Ma othom dhebm a olifans gwydn.” Lev ow hôr Rosa ew hedna.      “Gwra gofen orth dha dhama wydn.” Lev agan dama ew hedna. Ma hei ow cosôwes bes hanter ort Rosa. Hanter hy rach ew kemerys gen caletter aral . Fatel ell hei gwitha agan broder bian dhort towla brodnyon ort an gath. Ma dhodho gallos marthys rag nebonan bes trei bloodh coth.      “Prag a venjes ta cawas olifans gwydn, poran?” Henn ew agan sira, pup pres den heweres.   “Rag an gwerth olifans gwydn en fer an scol, entei.
